About
Hi, I'm Halima.
I create simple, polished websites for nonprofits, communities and entrepreneurs, websites you can keep alive yourself.
My story
Why I build websites
My background is technology: I've been a Salesforce developer for over 9 years, at Deloitte, at National Bank, and now with my own company, HNZ Consulting.
My website offer grew out of a first project: the website for Femmes de Grâces, a women's community between Canada and Africa. Its events changed often, and so did its team, and its founder wanted to update everything herself. I built her a website she manages on her own, in her name, with no hosting fees.
She was so pleased with the result that I decided to turn it into an offer. That's what I now offer organizations and entrepreneurs: a polished, simple website that belongs to them, and someone reliable to write to when they need help.
The story behind the logo
HNZ are my initials.
Behind every website, I'm the one who commits, personally.
Interconnected shapes: the different parts of your organization (your people, your activities, your tools) working together.
The star at the centre: clarity, what guides every decision.
The mission
Making the web simple.
Many organizations have a website that's hard to update, expensive, or dependent on one person. My job: give you a clear, reliable website that you keep alive yourself.
How I work
Four principles behind every website.
Simplicity
Clear websites, easy to read and to update. No unnecessary features.
Independence
You own everything, and I show you how to make your own changes.
Listening
I start from your mission and your audience, not from a ready-made template.
Reliability
The same rigour as in my projects for large companies: security, backups, follow-up.
