What is Salesforce?

One place for all your clients.

Salesforce is software used by thousands of businesses and nonprofits to keep all the information about their clients, members or donors in one place. Here, simply, is what it's for and whether it's useful for you.

In one sentence

Picture a shared, smart address book: every person has a record, you can see everything that happened with them, and the whole team works from the same information.

Real-life examples

What it looks like day to day

A hair salon

Every client has a record: appointments, preferences, purchases. A reminder goes out automatically before the next appointment.

A nonprofit

Members, donors and volunteers are all in one place. Donation receipts and event registrations are tracked without Excel files.

A service business

Every quote request is logged, tracked and followed up. You know who spoke to the client, when, and what was promised.

The quick quiz

And you, do you need it?

7 questions, 1 minute. Your answers stay on your screen: nothing is saved.

01How many people work with your clients or members?

02How many clients, members or donors do you keep track of?

03Are your contacts scattered across several files, emails or phones?

04Do you sometimes lose track of who spoke to a client, or when?

05Have requests or follow-ups ever slipped through the cracks?

06Do you redo the same tasks by hand every week?

07Is it hard to get simple numbers (clients, sales, donations, registrations)?

What it costs

Less than you might think

For nonprofits

Eligible nonprofits can get up to 10 free licences through Salesforce's Power of Us program.

For businesses

Salesforce offers plans for small businesses, paid monthly per user, with a free trial so you can test before committing.

Prices are set by Salesforce and can change. I help you choose the plan that fits, without paying for what you don't need.

And when it's not for you

If you work on your own with few clients, a simple spreadsheet or a free tool may be enough. I'll tell you honestly: my goal is for you to have the right tool, not the biggest one.
